Don't Just Host It. Build It

Speaker+1

The Nordics have the power. Now let's build the industry around it.

Norway has some of the world's cleanest electricity, historically among Europe's most competitive power prices, and the land and expertise to become a major hub for AI infrastructure. But exporting cheap electricity and hosting other people's servers is hardly the full extent of our ambition.

Nordic energy technology is already world-class. And the emerging Nordic data centre industry could become a formidable home market for an entirely new generation of energy technology exports.

Schedule

12:10–12:25Siemens: Don't Sell Power. Sell Capability.Robert Nyiredy

No country ever built a  lasting industry by exporting raw resources alone (this we know in Norway). Robert Nyiredy at Siemens explores how energy flexibility, automation, intelligent infrastructure and industrial software can become the foundation for a Nordic data center ecosystem - one that captures more value than simply hosting the world's AI workloads.

12:25–12:32Entro: From Report To Living ModelGard Morken

The Analysis Layer

Most buildings use more energy than they should, and the answer is already in the hourly data.

Gard Morken shows how Entro turns energy analysis from a one-off report into a living model of the building: pinpoint what to upgrade, and use the data to operate energy efficiently every day. Know the real consumption before you invest in new capacity.

The Intelligence Layer

You can't optimise what you cannot see.

Noova shows how real-time energy data can move buildings and portfolios from passive monitoring to active control - identifying abnormal loads, understanding cost, optimising consumption and deciding when flexibility should be used.

12:39–12:46Enlink: The Building Is a Power PlantLars Andreas Pedersen

The Market Layer

Once loads become controllable, buildings can do more than simply consume power.

Enlink shows how heating, ventilation, cooling and other flexible loads can be aggregated into virtual power plants - allowing buildings to respond to the needs of the grid and participate in balancing and flexibility markets.

The final step is to turn flexibility from a technical capability into an economic asset.

12:46–12:53Fount: Charge When The Grid Wants You ToWenche Teigland

The Flexibility Layer

EV charging is new demand. But it can also be flexible demand - and even make charging profitable.

Fount uses data on vehicles, charging, prices and site capacity to shift charging to the hours when power is cheapest and the grid has room. Can mobility become part of the energy system, rather than just another load on it?

12:53–13:00Helinor: Power Before The GridElling Helvig

Data centres can't wait years for full grid capacity.

Helinor Energy is developing modular onsite power systems that can bring capacity online in phases, scale with demand and reduce exposure to grid delays. Its platform combines gas-to-power for primary capacity with modular hydrogen fuel-cell backup for resilient, lower-emission critical power.

Can Nordic energy technology make power itself part of the competitive advantage in the AI infrastructure race?

13:00–13:07Energi.ai: Energi.AI: The Data Layer That Outlives The SoftwareHanne Ek
The Data Layer

Today, operational and climate data is trapped inside systems. Tomorrow, it needs to sit in a layer that applications, banks and AI agents can access directly.

That changes the workflow: financed emissions can be pulled automatically, underperforming buildings can be flagged before the bill arrives, and data can survive a change of property-management system.

But automation only works if the data can be trusted. Energi.AI shows why the next generation of real-estate infrastructure starts with verifiable data - before the agents arrive.
