Real Estate Innovator Finalists: Teknostallen, Spinn & Construction City
Four projects. Four bets on how real estate should change.
The finalists for Real Estate Innovator of the Year at Top Of The Props 2026 present the projects that earned their nomination. The jury is looking for real risk-taking, documented impact and ideas that can change how the rest of the industry develops, builds, owns or operates real estate.
The prize will be awarded later in the evening, at Oslo Innovation Fest.
Schedule
12:15–12:25Teknostallen by KLP Eiendom
Lasse Volden
What becomes possible when the developer also plans to own for the long term? KLP Eiendom presents Teknostallen, where a shared energy centre, digital twin, flexible technical systems and an open year-round garden are part of the same real estate strategy.
12:25–12:35Spinn by Smedvig Eiendom
Rune Augenstein
An office building from the 1980s becomes a test of how far transformation and reuse can take us. Smedvig Eiendom presents Spinn: preserved structures, reused technical components and material passports.
What can the project teach us about upgrading the vast stock of ordinary commercial buildings Norway already has? Session in Norwegian.
12:35–12:45Construction City by Construction City Eiendom
Hege Skjelbred Hatlemark
Construction City is a highly ambitious technical project in its own right - digitally operated, built around a digital twin, and designed for smarter, more flexible building management.
This talk, however, focuses on a different question: can the building itself create more innovation between the companies inside it? Construction City Eiendom presents how shared spaces, an organised industry ecosystem, and physical proximity are being used to turn co-location into collaboration and value for tenants.
