Oscar Thøgersen is Chief Commercial Officer at Skygard, Norway’s sovereign data center company, owned by Telenor, Hafslund and HitecVision. He joined Skygard in 2025 after more than 18 years in the tech industry, including senior roles at AWS, Microsoft and Atea, where he helped Nordic organizations move to the cloud. At Skygard he works with public sector organizations, enterprises and hyperscalers that need secure, sustainable capacity in Norway. Oscar believes Norwegian data should stay under Norwegian control, and that sustainability gives a company a real competitive advantage. Skygard’s Oslo facility runs on renewable energy with a PUE below 1.2, and its waste heat warms around 12,000 homes in Oslo.
